This is a high-yielding, straight, round, dark green, stringless and heirloom bean. The Blue Lake Pole grows until the last moments of the season. The yield can be so heavy you might have trouble keeping up which makes them great for canning. This pod freezes and dries well. It has a tender taste and a crisp texture. Trellising or staking is recommended. The veins can grow up to twelve feet long.
