Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. So seeds in spring/summer after last frost, or in summer/early fall. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Plants can be harvested at any stage. Harvest the whole plant at once or pick the outer leaves for several weeks. Can be grown as a microgreen or baby-leaf. Use in soup, baby leaf salad, microgreens, pickling, stir-fry, ohitashi, sukiyaki and yosenabe.
