Seeds will rot or fail to germinate if over watered or soaked. Keep soil moist but not soaked during the germinating period. Fertilize as needed. Warm day temperatures (75-85°F) and cool night temperatures are important for best results. Harvest when soybeans swell in pod. Prepare edamame, a traditional Japanese treat, by boiling fresh pods for 3-4 minutes in salted water and serve them as a healthy appetizer and snack. Soybeans are rich in protein.
