The security of your online transaction and protection of your sensitive information is our highest concern. We conform to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance set of security standards. In order to protect our customers from identity theft and guard our systems against security breaches, we perform regular Vulnerability Assessment Scans (conducted by a Payment Card Industry Approved Scanning Vendor). We encrypt all sensitive communications with our server, and store all sensitive information in encrypted databases. When your transaction with our company is completed, we delete all traces of your credit card information from our systems.
PROTECTING CARDHOLDER DATA
All sensitive information that we store is encrypted multiple times, and accessible only to authorized salespersons through "unique ID" logins. Physical access to the web server storing customer data is guarded by perimeter fencing, green field space, card access, biometric entries, and mantraps. Unauthorized electronic attempts to access customer's information are thwarted by firewalls, virus protection, and 24-hour network monitoring/real-time security alerting via intrusion detection scanners. We ensure that this airtight system maintains our customer's security by performing regular Vulnerability Assessment Scans of our network and systems. (Please contact us for information regarding the Payment Card Industry Approved Scanning Vendors whose services we utilize.) Even with this high degree of network protection, we believe our customers will feel safer if we take security one step further: after your credit card has been charged for your order, we delete your credit card number and its expiration date from our system. There is no way to retrieve this information — which is the highest form of security.
SECURE SERVER TECHNOLOGY
Orders placed through our website utilize SSL (secure socket layers) to protect credit card information so it cannot be read in transit. We use the latest 128-bit encryption technology in those areas of our site that require you to provide sensitive information. This is done to protect you from unauthorized use of the information you send to our server. We encourage you to download and install the latest browser of your choice to make sure that you have the most current security features enabled. (If you are using a current browser version, you have 128-bit encryption.) If you do not have a browser that supports SSL or you are not comfortable sending your credit card information online, then you may call us to place your order.
