This is an annual plant that requires full sun exposure and will tolerate partial shade. Plant the carrot in the spring and again in the fall if two harvests are desired. Direct sow. Plant the seed a fourth of an inch deep and space about four inches apart. Seventy days to maturity. Six to eight inch roots should let you know it is time to harvest. This particular species does better in looser soil.
