Plant this annual in the spring and again in the late fall. As it is highly resistant to frost, a fall harvest is suggested. Direct sow. Plant seed a fourth of an inch deep and cover with soil. Space seed every eight to fifteen inches apart. Collard prefers full sun exposure. Seventy to eighty days until mature. The leaves will grow up to two feet in length.
