Beet Seeds - Sugar Beet

Who would guess one can make sugar from a sugar beet? Ha! Well, I didn’t know until I saw it done. Boiling this root down will produce a sugary syrup that can be used as a sugar substitute. Pair the reduction with your favorite herb, such as mint, and have yourself a delightful simple reduction without all the process. These beets are delightful to consume alone or when seared, steamed, roasted or boiled.
