Tomatoes are an annual vegetable and should be planted in the warmer season. Tomatoes prefer full sun exposure. Start indoors. Transplant directly when seedlings are a few inches tall. Plant roots an inch deep and space plants every eighteen to thirty inches apart. Sixty to ninety days until fully mature. Tomatoes are determinate and fruit should be harvested as it ripens. These tomatoes will be six or seven ounces when ready to be pulled from the vine.
